The minutes of the meeting of Oct. 7, I9I9 were read and same were on motion duly made seconded and carried accepted as read. The Treasurer's report as follows was read and on motion duly made seconded and carried ordered placed on fil0. General Fund. Cash on hand Oct. 7, I919 539.4I Receipts 6.67 Total 546.08 Expenditures 81.42 Balance on hand 464.66 Vehicle license Fund. Cash on hand Oct. 7, I9I9 0I4.89 Receipts 15,00 Total 329.89 Expenditures 3I4.23 Balance on hand I5.66 Thereupon trustee Haberkamp introduced the following resolution which was read by the clerk. • Whereas, there is not sufficient money in the treasury of the village to meet and defray the ordinary and necessary expenses thereof until the collection of the taxes levied for the fiscal year beginning May, I9I9,therefor -, Be it resolved , that a fund be provided to meet all said expences by issuing and disposing of warrants drawn against and in anticipation of the taxes now levied for the said fiscal year begining May I, I9I9 for the payment of all such ordinary and necessary expences of such village. That the said fund shall be in a total amount of one thousand (4I000.0C) dollars or such portion thereof as shall be needed to meet and defray the said ordinary and necessary expences; that the warrants drawn and issued under the provisions hereof shall show upon their face that they are payable solely from said taxes when collected and not otherwise, and shall be received by the collector of taxes in payment of the taxes against which they are issued and which taxes against which said warrants are drawn shall be set apart and held for their payment; that the President be and is hereby author- ized and empowered to sign and execute and the clerk to countersign all warrants and instruments necessary for the carrying out of this resolution. It was duly moved by trustee Holste, seconded by trustee Gosch that said resolution be adopted. Roll Call. Beigel aye Haberkamp aye Pohlmann aye. Gosch aye Holste aye. Motion carried ayes five, nays none. • Thereupon the clerk read the following bills said bills having been 0. Ked by the proper committees. Co. for grading Main street 42I.50 Albert a'Ville Material for Main Street 33.'50 Total 708:90 It was duly moved by trustee Gosch seconded by trustee Beigel that said bills be paid and the clerk be directed to issue warrants for same. Thereupon the clerk read an ordinance to amend an ordinance entitled: "An ordinance to license and regulate certain businessess, occupa- tions, callings and employments as expressed herein, and to provide the term, the fee and the method of procuring and issuing such licenses, together with the conditions under which same are issued, and fixing a penalty for violation of this ordinance." said ordinance being design- ated as ordinance No. 23. It was duly moved by trustee Haberkamp seconded by trustee Gosch that said ordinance be passed. Roll Call. Thereupon Mr. Edward Busse reported that he had been requested by the Mount Prospect Improvment 'Assn. to report to the Village Board that the committee appointed by said Assn. had obtained the signature of Chas. Bellendorf dedicating a 66 foot strip of land through his property along the right of way of the Chicago and Northwestern Railway Co. for road purposes upon the payment of $50.00 by the village, also the signature of H. C. Katz dedicating a 66 foot strip of land through his property along the right of way of the Chicago and Northwestern railway Co. for road purposes upon the payment of #25.00 by the village and the signatures of Mrs. William Pohlmann and Mr. L. d. Pohlmann as Adm. dedicating a 66 foot strip of land through their property along the right of way of the Chicago and Northwestern Railway Company for road purposes upon the payment of $I00.00 by the Village. He futher reported that all the land in the village of Mount Prospect necessary for the proposed Northwest Highway had been obtained with the except- tion of Burkes and William Seegers , who's signature he stated the committee was unable to obtain. It was duly moved seconded and carried that the Street Committee be appointed a committee to call upon William Seegers in regards to to obtaining a 66 foot strip of land thraught his property along the right of way of the Chicago & Northwestern Railway. It was duly moved seconded and caried that the Chairman of the Street and Sidewalk Committee Be authorized to sell wood from the trees out down by the telephone Co.
