The President called the meeting to order.
The clerk called the roll all trustees excepting trustee Beigel
responding present.
The minutes of the meeting of July Ist were read and on motion duly
made seconded and carried accepted as read.
The Treasurer's report as follows was read and ordered placed on file
General fund.

Thereupon the clerk read the following bills said bills having been

It was duly moved by trustee Haberkamp seconded by trustee Pohlmann
that said bills be paid and the clerk be directed to issue warrants for
same.

Motion carried , ayes 5 nays none.
Thereupon trustee Gooch introduced an ordinance for the levy and
assessment of taxes for the ourrent fiscal year, commencing May I, I919
and ending April 30, I920. said ordinance being designated as ordinance
No.22.

It was duly moved by trustee Pohlmann seconded by trustee Haberkamp
that said ordinance be passed.

Motion carried aye five, nays none.
Thereupon trustee Beigel reported present.
Thereupon the clerk was directed to find out from the Chicago Tel-
ephone Co. why they are charging $2.00 per month for telephone in our
village and 41.75 in other villages and request that they charge tel-
phone subscribers in this village the same as in other villages.
Thereupon the clerk read a communication from the Cook County
Municipalities organization regarding telephone rates.
Thereupon the clerk raed a list of business and vehicle owners who
had obtained license and a list of those who had not as yet applied for
license.
It was duly moved seconded and carried that the clerk be directed
to write a letter to those who had not applied for license, calling their
attention to the ordinance which required them to obtain license and
to notify them that license must be taken out within ten days from date
of said letter.
It was duly moved seconded and oarried that the clerk be directed
to have an ordinance drawn up licensing retail dealers in near beer and
soft drinks, and that the annual license fee for said dealers be fixed
at the sum of 4100.00 per year.
On motion meeting adjourned.
