HomeMy WebLinkAbout02/04/1919 VB minutes Feb. 4, I9I9. The President called the meeting to order. The Clerk called the roll all trustees excepting trustee Busse responding present. The Clerk read the minutes of the previous meeting and same were on motion duly made seconded and carried accepted as read. The treasurer's report as follows was read and ordered placed on file. Balance on hand Jan. 7, I919 4393.I6 Disbursements 82.74 Balance on hand 3I0.42 The following bills, having been 0. died by the proper committees were read by the clerk. Northwestern Light & Power Co. Jan. str. light - -- -41.66 Albert Wille - -- -Stone & Sand 87.34 Henry J. Ehard -- Telegram to Niels Juul .55 Total I29.55 It was duly moved by trustee Haberkamp, seconded by trustee Beigel that said bills be paid and the clerk be directed to issue war- rants for same. Roll Call. Beigel aye Haberkamp aye Pohlmann aye. Gosoh aye Holste aye Notion carried ayes five , nays none. The chairman of the Fire and Water Committee reported that Chemical Truck had arrived , and was ready for use. Thereupon the following resolution was intrduced. Resolution. Be it resolved that the action of the officers and executive committee of The Country Municipalities of Cock County, in placing before Honorable Edward J. Brundage, Attorney General of the State of Illinois, the proposed withdrawal of the multiple trip tickets heretofore in effect by the railroads, and in filling protest and petition before the Public Utilities Commission of Illinois, be and is hereby approved. Be it futher resolved that on behalf of the people of the municipality of Yount Prospect we urgently protest against the action taken by the Railroad Administration as contemplated in their published proposal of January 27, I9I9, to withdraw multiple trip tickets and substitute twenty -six ride tickets at the rate of two cents per mile per ride. It was duly moved seconded and carried that said resolution be adopted. Thereupon the clerk read a contract for furnishing electric street lights for the village, submitted by the Northwestern L.ac Co. they agreeing to furnish electric street lights at the rate of 425.00 per year for 100 watt Madza lamps. • It was duly moved by trustee Pohlmann, seconded by trustee Haberkamp that said contract be accepted and the President be authorized to sign and the clerk to countersign same. Roll Call. Beigel aye Haberkamp aye Pohlmann aye. Gosoh aye Holste aye. lotion carried ayes five nays none. On motion duly made seconded and carried meeting adjourned. Minutes approved this 4th day of March, 19I9.
