HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 39-01 07/03/2001 RESOLUTION NO. 39-01 A RESOLUTIONRECOGNIZING MICHELE KIDD AS "MISS JUNIOR AMERICA CITY QUEEN" WHEREAS, MICHELE KIDD, twelve year-oM daughter of Klm and Debbie Kidd, and a resident of the Village of Mount Prospect, has been selected as "Miss Junior America City Queen"; and WHEREAS, the "Miss Junior America City Queen" pageant has been in existence for 18 years, encouraging leadership, high morals and career goals, and awards the "Miss Junior America City Queens" with cash scholarships and recognition; and WHEREAS, MICHELE KIDD attends Lincoln Junior High School, participating in numerous extracurricular activities such as basketball, softball, soccer, track, and chorus, all while maintaining Honor Roll status; and WHEREAS, MICHELE KIDD is an official Illinois State Soccer Referee and was awarded the Presidential Student Physical Fitness Award at Lincoln Junior High School; and WHEREAS, MICHELE KIDD is an active Girl Scout and was awarded the Presidential GoM Student Service Award for performing more than 130 hours of service to our community in one year; and WHEREAS, MICHELE KIDD, was sponsored by the Mount Prospect Jaycees and LaSalle Bank in the pageant, and will be sponsored by the Jaycees as she participates in the annual Mount Prospect 4th of July parade. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECI COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: That the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect do hereby acknowledge and recognize MICHELE KIDD for her outstanding achievements, and wish her a bright and productive future. SECTION TWO: That an official copy of this Resolution be suitably prepared and presented to MICHELE KIDD as a perpetual memento. SECTION THREE: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
