Minutes of a special meeting of the village board, held. in pursuance of the following notice send by the clerk to all trustees, in pursuance of an order received by him from the President to that effect; as follows. - -" Please take notice that a special meeting of the Board of Trustees of this village is hereby called to con- vene in arm. Wille's hall on Wednesday May the 16th. A.D. 1917, at the hour of 8 o'clock P. M. , to take up such business as may come before the meeting."- - The President called the meeting to crder at 8.30 P.M. all members being present to -wit. Beigel,Busse, Gosch, Haberkamp, Pohlmann, & ruerffel. The Treasurer bond amounting to 1E000.00 with Henry • Holste and Edward Busse•as surities was presented and on motion accepted all voting aye. The followin g communications from gm. Mille & Henry Behrens Jr. , each accompanied with a check for 1104.16, was read by the clerk. " To the honorable President and members of the board of trustees cf the village of Mount Prospect: I here —with tender my check amounting tc 1104.16 , which amount I intend to donate to the village. This amount represents licence money I would of had tc pay , had the village i**:::meadeatly upcn voting for or against incorporating , elected officers and passed an ordinance providing fcr the licening of Dram- shops. " It was duly moved by trustee Wuerffel seconded by trustee Haberkamp that the above mentioned donation be accepted and deposited in the general fund. Motion carried Ayes 6 Nays 0. Roll call. There -upon the clerk read the application of Wm.'J9ille said application being acompanied with a bond of A3000.00 with Henry Holste and Edward Busse as surities and duly acknowledged by a notary public. It was duly moved by trustee Wuerffel ,seconded by trustee Pohlmann that said bond be approved and that license be Granted. It was duly moved by trustee Wuerffel seconded by trustee Beigel that said bond be approved and that license be granted. Motion carried Ayes 6 Nays 0. Roll called Beigel aye Gosch aye Pohlmann aye Busse aye Haberkamp aye Wuerffel aye. There upon the clerk read a communication from the Mt. Prospect Improvment Association, offering loose crossing bricks to the village at X10:00 per thousand the village to pay for same according to their count.. Moved by trustee Wuerffel 6econded by trusttee Haberkamp that the offer be accepted . Motion Carried Ayes 6 Nays 0. Roll call Beigel aSje. Gosch aye. Pohlmann aye. Busse aye. Haberkamp aye. Wiuerffel aye. Moved by trustee Pohlmann seconded by trustee Haber- , kamp, that the Street and Sidewalk committee be authorized and instructed to lay the above mentioned trick for cross - ing purposes , where they deemed pessary. Moved by trustte Wuerffel seconded by trustee Pohlmann that the Judges and Clerks of election be allowed three • dollars (ft3.00) as payment in full for each days service rendered by them at the Febuary Ord and April 17th election and that the clerk be directed to prepare a bill for same. Prospect Improvment Association. 009 w "To the honorable President and members cf the Beard of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect: entlemen: At theNf regular monthly meeting of the Mount Prospect Improvement Associa- tion the secretary was instructed to render a bill to the village for street lighting for March and April, 1917. Said bill to be rendered at the rate of Twenty dollars ( *20.QO) per light per year. Enclosed please find bill amounting to $63.46 for nineteen street lights for two months at the above mentioned rate, and sane is respectfully submitted, and we trust that it will receive your prompt consideration." - --- Thereupon the following bills were presented by the Finance Committee: Mount Prospect improvement Association - $65.46, for street lighting. Fred Bierman, for scraping road and hauling crush stone - 88.40. Henry J. Ehard, for Minute Book, Ordinance Book and other stationery - $18.45. It was duly moved by Trustee Haberkamp, seconded by Trus- tee Beigel,that said bills be paid out of the general fund and that the clerk draw vouchers for same. Motion carried: Ayes 6 Nays 0 -- Roll Call - - - - Beigel aye 6:osch aye Pohlmann aye Busse aye Haberkamp aye Wuerffel aye A plat of dedication of a taro public highway being the following described land, to wit) part of the outh 5 C feet of the Northwest fractional quarter of Section 12, Township 41,North Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, and the North 17 feet of that part of the South -West quarter of said Section lying West of the East line of Emerson St, in Waldemar Krause's addition to Mount Prospect, in East half of the North West quarter of Section 12, Township 41, North Range 11, East of thqQ Third Principal Meridian; also said Emerson Street, also lot 26 t in said addition, also the North 50 feet of lot 16 A in said addition, also that part of Railroad Ave. in said addition lying West of said Emerson 8tt, .. and also two strips of land 50 feet in width, the North and South lines of one of which coincide with the North and South lines of said North 50 feet of lot 15 A if produced West, and the North andSouth lines of the other coincide with the North and South lines of said Railroad Ave. if produced Northwesterly. The East ends of said last two described stripe of land being the West line of said addition and the West ends being the West line of the following described land, viz., Beginning on the South line of said North West fractional quarter, distance 1281 feet East cf the stone at the South West corner thereof, running thence North along a line which is formed by measuring an angle of 88 degrees from the West along said South line to the South line of the right - of -way of the Chicago and Northwestern R. R., thence Northwesterly along said right -of -way line 188.8 feet, thence South parallel to the 88 degree Vine of the South line of said quarter Section, and thence East 161.4 feet to the place of beginning. Said public highway being designated cn the the plat as Lincoln street , Milburn street, 010 and a continuation of Rail Road Ave:'was presented . It was duly moved by trustee Wuerffel , seconded by trustee Haberkamp that said dedication of public high -ways be accepted and that the President and the clerk be author- ized to sign plat for the village. Motion carried . Ayes 6. Nays 0. Roll call. Beigel aye Gosch aye Pohlmann aye. Busse aye Haberkamp aye Wuerffel aye. The president presented the application of C. R. Marhle, for village attorney , and same was on motion - made and carried , referred to the Judiciary committee. The chairman of the Health and Drainage committee reported that an opportunity presented itself ,tc connect the sewer tile which runs east in Central St. and now emties in the ditch about onehalf block east of Elm street , with a tile now being laid running north and south in East Street. The Health and Drainage committee was ,on motion made and carried , instructed to ascertain the amount it would cost to make said connection. Thereupon it was moved by trustee Haberkamp seconded (:: by trustee Pohlmann that trustee Wuerffel be authorized and instructed to purchase ten stars. One with. the in- scription of President , six with the inscription of Trustee, and three with the inscription Police there on. Motion carried. Ayes 6. Nays 0.
