HomeMy WebLinkAbout01/07/1936 VB minutes MINUTES OF A REGULAR METING OF PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS HELD ON THE 7TH DAY OF JANUARY 1936, AT 8 OCLOCK P.M. President Meyn called the meeting to order and upon the Clerk calling the roll the following Trustee's were found to be present. t'rustee's Greinke, Haas, Haberkamp, Harrington, Hennix and Wille. The Clerk then read the minutes of the previous meeting ant upon the motion of Trustee Hennix and second of Trustee Harrington same was approved. The Treasurers report was as follows: GENERAL FUND: 'alanee on hand last report 2411.01 He c 6i pts 288.00 2696.01 Disbursements -$21.1.92. Balanee on hand 1871.09 DO WATER FUND: Balanee on' hand last report 6426.52 W received from John Bemis .1. 6613.50 Disbursements for December 230.6 Balance on hand 6382.85 WATER EXTENSION FUND: Balanee owhand last report- (No receipts or Disb.) 157.41 VEHICLE TAX & ROAD AND BRIDGE TAX FUND: Balanee on -hand last report 55 C Heee pts _- 8.94 7. 4 I Disbursements for December _1A3.0.2 Balanee on hand 424.7 IRE TRUCK CK FUND BAL on hand last report. BOND FUND(PWA PROJECT #6906) Balanee on hand last report 600.31 It was moved by Trustee Haas and seconded by Trustee Greinke that the foregoing treasurers report be accepted. Motion carried by a vote of acclamation. It was moved by Trustee Hennix and seoended by Trustee Wille, that the special assessment report be placed on file. Motion oarried. A motion was made by Trustee Hass and seconded by Trustee Greinke that the following bills be paid. The roll was called and Ei the motion passed with the following vote. Meehling as Village Collector, signed by J. P. Moehling and Marie Moehling as sureties be accepted. The roll was called with the following result. Ayes: Greinke, naas, iaberkamp, narrington, hennix and Wille. Nays - none. The motion was declared carried. i It was moved by Trustee Haas and seconded by Trustee Harrington that the Fire committee be authorized to get prises on 200 feet of fire hose. Motion carried.. cit was move by Trustee narrington and seconded by Trustee ureinke that the matter of obt i )ling Insuranse on the reservoir be turned over to the judiciary committee. Motion ea rried. It was moved and seconded thdt a resolution accepting the deed of the land purchased from Mrs Wille, on which the reser- voir was built, should be passed. Said motion being made bt Trustee hennix and seconded by Trustee Haberkamp. The r #11 was sailed with t he following vote. Ayes: Greinke, Haas, Haberkamp, narrington, Hennix. and Wille. Nays none. A motion was made by Trustee Hennix and seconded by Trustee r iarringten that the Village attorney Mr Thal1 file ant app - earanse and answer in the ease of J. P. Moehling Velimge 0 versus ease 06952 in the county court. The motion was serried with the following vote. ayes: Greinke. naas, Haberkamp, iiaz rington hennix and Wille. Nays none. It was moved b Trustee Greinke ant se®ded b Trustee hennix that O. C. Hopper be allowed to keep his bowling Alley open after the regular closing time, only until that tournement is com- pleted. These tournements are not to exceed four a year. These dates are to be given the police at least one weak in advance. The motion was carried with the fo lowing vote. Ayes: Greinke, Haas, .aberkamu. harrin,ton. hennix and Willa. Navg nano.
