HomeMy WebLinkAbout03/30/1936 VB minutes 35 MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING oW THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MT PROSPECT ILLINOIS, HELD ON THE 30th. DAY OF MARCH 193 The President called the meeting to order and upon the roll call the following Trustees responded present: Greinke, Haberkamp, Harrington, Hennix and Wille - Trustee Haas was absent. 1:: It was moved by Trustee Hennix and seconded by Trustee Greinke that the following resolution be adopted. Motion carried with the following vote Ayes: Greinke, Haberkamp, Harrington, Hennix and Wille. Nays none. R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS the engineers of this village employed in connection with the making of the improvements and additions to pp the waterworks system of this village, in accordance with the • , contract between this Tillage and the United States of At;ier-ica under the supervision of the Federal Emergency Administration of W Public Works, under Project #6906, have heretofore reported that the contractor, McKeown Bros. Bo., of Chicago, I11., to whom the said work was let, has completed its work under the contract of letting and the extension of time heretofore granted for such completion; now, the- °efore, BE IT RESOLVED that said work be and the same is hereby accepted, and the liquidated damages payable under the terms of said contract between this village nnd said contractor having heretofore been waived by the resolution of this board, IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the balance due said contractor being the sum of $3377.13 be paid to said contractor from funds made available out of the grant from the United States Govern - mentand any balance still on hand from the proceeds of the sale of bonds to the Government in this project, and that there be transmitted to the Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works a certified copy of this resolution of acceptance. A motion was made by Trustee Harrington and seconded by Trustee Haberkamp that the matter of the lawsuit by William L. Ooonnell receiver for seven banks be referred to C. D. Busse Ex- treasurer for checking of payments, to see what payments have been made to these banks. The motacn was carried with the following result- Ayes: Greinke, Haberkamp, Harrington, Hennix and Wille. There being no further business to come before said medting it was regularly moved and seconded that the same be ad- journed.
