President Besander called the meeting to.order. Upon the absence of the . Village Clerk President Besander appointed Fred G. "Mlle to act as temporary clerk. The roll being called the following Trustees were found to be present, Greinke, LeMay afid Wille. Trustees Haas, Haberkamp and Mortimer being absent. It wa:. moved by Trustee LeMay seconded by Trustee Ville that due to the absentee trustees the meeting be postponed until October 13, 1942. , MINUTESOF A POSTPONED ViEET[NG OF OCTOBER SIXTH, HELD IN THE VILLAGE HALL AT MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES ON THE TP I RTET NTH DAY OF OCTOBER A. D. 1942 President Besander called the meeting.to order. Upon the absence of the Village Clerk President Besander appointed Fred G. Wille to act as temporary clerk. The roll being called the following Trustees were found to be present; Greinke, Haberkamp, LeMay and Wille. Trustees Haas and Mortimer were absent. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and it was moved by Trustee Greinke and seconded by Trustee Wille that the minutes be accepted as read. Motion carried. President Besander appointed Trustee LeMay to act as temporary member of the finance committee due to the absence of TrusteesMortimer and Hass. It was moved by Trustee Greinke and seconded by Trustee Haberkamp that the temporary appointment be coneurred in. Ayes: Greinke, Haberkamp and Wille and Mr. President. Trustee LeMay paeeed. Ayes: Greinke, Haberkamp, LeMay and Wille. N nays. Trustee LeMay reported that he instructed the street superintendent to repair the bad spots and to tat the large cracks in the streets. Trustee Haberkamp reported that the contract,with the City of Des Plaines, for the disposal of garbage had been completed. Also that the man who the committee felt qualified for the garbage collection had excepted other employment.Trustee Haberkamp reported that the committee felt that under normal conditions the Vilige could handle the garbage disposal, but under the present labor conditions it was not advisable. The board advised the committee to keep on looking for suitable employment. The Clerk then read the following letter: MAIM L. RODERICK CERTITIED`PUBLIC ACCOUNTANT • • CHICAGO OCTOBER 6, 1942 To The Honorable President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois Gentlemen: Inasmuch as this is the last meeting of your Board prior to October 31„1942, the end of the first six -month period of the Water Works System of the current fiscal year, I should like again to offer my.;services to make the usual six months audit of those records, as required by your Federal Loan and Grant Agreement. The Cost of the audit would be $70.00, the same fee I have been charging . This work, when approved, would be done promptly after the closing date or October 31, 1942. Thanking you for your many past courtesies and for this opportunity to offer my services, I am, Yours very truly, Albert L. Roderick ALR /br It was moved by Trustee Haberkamp and seconded by Trustee LeMay that 0" Mr. Roderick be engaged to perform the audit. Ayes; Greinke, Haberkamp, LeMay and Mille. No nays. Trustee LeMay reported his findings on the investigation of the excavations in the Village of Mount Prospect. The F. H. A. informed Trustee LeMay that any excavation that did not have any concrete footing layed prior to April 1, 1942 could not be classified as a building under construction, and therefore carried no priority to assure its completion. The board decided that the owners of exca- vations. having no priorities would be asked to fill them up. There being no further business to come before this meeting it was moved by Trustee Haberkamp and seconded by Trustee LeMay that the same be adjourned. Shoo' • • •
