D. 1942. Due to the fact that the Village hall was occupied by the Judges and clerks of the Oieotion the meeting was postponed to November 10, 1942. MINUTES OF A POSTPONED MEETING HELD IN THE VILLAGE HALL AT MOUNT PROSPECT; ILLINOIS BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES ON THE TENTH DAY OF NOVEMBER A. D. 1942. President Besander called the meeting to order. Upon the absence of the Village Clerk President Besander appointed Fred G. Wills to act as temporary clerk. The roll being called the following Trustees were found to be present;Greinke, Haas, Haberkamp, LeMay and Wille. Trustee Mortimer being absent. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and it was moved by Trustee Haberkamp and seconded by Trustee Haas that the minutes be excepted as read. Motion carried. Ayes, Greinke, Haas, Haberkamp, LeMay and Wille. No Nays. It was moved by Trustee Maas and seconded by Trustee Haberkamp that the Special Assessment report be placed on file. Motion carried. Mr. Stoelk inquired as to the type of trees permitted to be planted ...r on North Wille Street. The Board informed Mr. Stoelk that the American Elm was °referred and that Supt. Mulso would locate the distances on the parkway for them. Trustee .Ville chairman of the Police Camrnittee reprtei that at a Police Committee meeting held to discuss the menas of solving the vocantty created by Officer Foslund being inducted into the armed fordes. The Committee had arrived at the following solution, which, Trustee 1 1.11e submitted as a motion. That Chief Whittenberg and Officer Schramm each work 12 hours per day, with a half day, of six hours, off each week. Mr. Mulso to devote 12 hours per week of his working time to relieve the Officer and the Chief on their time off. Chief Whittenberg and Officer Schramm's Salary to be increased $40.00. per month. This motion was seconded by Trustee LeMay. Ayes, Greinke, Haas, Haberkamp, LeMay and Wille. No Nays. The Clerk then read the bids of James Hanlon & Sons, and John H. Greenlee for the painting and repairing of the water tower.After comparing the prices and having Mr. Hanlon and 'r. Greenllee's represenative explain in detail the type of. work proposed, It was moved by Trustee Haberkamp and seconded by Trustee Greinke that the bid be given to Mr. John H. Greenlee at a price of 1340.00 to paint the inside of the tank one coat of lilsonite asphalt basis paint. One coat of Aluminum metal paint on the legs of the standard and tow coats of aluminum metal paint onthe rW tank, bowl and roof of the tank.Also the bid for 1705.001 o install a new frost Jacket. Ayes, Greinke, Haas, "aberkamp, LeMay and Wille. No Nays. Mr. Fred G. 4 ille acting as temporary clerk had to leave the meeting. President Besander appointed 'fir. Kermit K. LeMay to act as temporary Clerk. Ayes, Greinke, Haas, h aberkamp, LeMay and Wille. No nays. The clerk read a letter from Superintendent Mulso werein he reported on the water works convention which he attended at Springfield. The Clerk then read the following resolution. WHEREAS, S. W. Burda, Village Clerk, is in ill health; and WHEREAS. the said Village Clerk desires to appoint a deputy to assist in the performance of the Village Clerk's duties; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 9 - 72 of the Revised Cities and Villages Act a municipal clerk may appoint the various clerks and subordinates in his office which the corporate authorities may authorize; NOW , THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect that the said Village Clerk be, and '.Wd he is hereby, authorized to appoint a depity to assist him in the performance of his duties: provided, however, that such appointment shall be subject to theapproval of the President and the Board of Trustees; shall have the right at any time to discharge said deputy. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the appointment of such clerk shall impose no liability upon the Qillage of Mount Prospect for the services performed by such deputy and that all services performed by such deputy shall be paid personally by the said Village Clerk. It was moved by Trustee Haberkamp seconded by Trustee Wille that the following resolution be approved subject to the Village Clerk submitting in writting the name of his deputy and any other details that may arrise. It was moved by Trustee Haberkamp and seconded by Trustee Greinke that the Treasurer be authorized to transfer I1000.00 from the Road and Bridge and Vehicle Tax Fund to the General Fund, - to be applied to the payment of the Street Lighting Account. Ayes; greinke, Haas, Haberkamp, LeMay and Wille. No nays. The following resolution was read; A RESOLUTION APPROVING PLAT OF MOUNT PROSPECT ROAD, PLAT #338. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF pm. THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY,,ILLINOIS, ^ that the plat showing dedication of the proposed MOUNT PROSPECT ROAD as submitted `,,,, by the County Superintendent of Highways to the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect and the same is hereby in all respects approved, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this resolution signed and certified be forwith forwarded to the County Superintendent of Highways and the Board of Commissioners of Cook County. -) Besander President of the Village of Mount Prospect ATTEST; S.
