HomeMy WebLinkAbout12/01/1942 VB minutes 339 MINUTES OF A REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING HELD IN THE VILLAGE HALL AT MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS BY TEE PRESIDENT SIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES ON TH3 FIRST DAY OF D3GEMBER A. D. 1942. President Besander called. the meetin to order. Tha roll being called, the following trustees were found to be present. Greinke, Haas, Haberkamp, Le ay, Mortimer and 'Wille. Village Clerk Burda was present and in accordance with the Resolution adopted at the November 10th meeting, submitted the name of ir. James E. Wax as deputy clerk. It was .coved by trustee Mortimer and seconded by trustee LeMay that James E. Wax be approved by the Village Board as deputy clerk. Ayes, Greinke, Haas, Habarkamp, Le:`iay, Mortimer and 'Mille. No nays. ::r. Burda, who had left a sick bed to be present, retired. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and it was moved uy Trustee Mortimer and seconded by Trustee Haberkamp that minutes be accepted as read. Ayes, GreinXe, Haas, Haberkamp, La May, :Mortimer ai a rVille. No nayes. Nays, none. It was moved by Trustee Mortimer and seconded by Trustee LeMay that the remain- ing installments of the Feehanville district assessment in the amount of 4252.92 be paid in full for the amount of 4189.00 and the treasurer be author- c:6-1 ized to offer payment of 4189.00 for full payment and receipted bills of 4252.92. Ayes,, Greinke, Haas, Haberkamp, LeMay, Mortimer and ►lille. Nays, none. It was moved by Trustee Mortimer and seconded by Trustee Greinke that the balance of 4250.04 the 2% Fire Department Tax Fund be transferred to Fire Department. Ayes, Greinke, Haas, Haberkamp, LeMay, Mortimer and `►Mlle. It was moved by Trustee M o.rtimer and LeMay that the remaining fund of 44.21 in the Street Project #1 be transferred to the General Fund for services rendered. Ayes, Greinke, Haas, Haberkamp, LeMay, Mortimer and Willa. Nays, none. It was moved by Trustee Greinke and seconded by Mortimer that the special Assessment Report be placed on file. Ayes, Greinke, Haas, Habaraamp, LeMay, Mortimer and Mille. Nays, none. President Besander called for reports from standing committees, whioh ware received. Attorney Nickel ;gave a report on the Judgements rendered against the village and ti action that he had taken. • 342 Trustee Le:lay announced that the 1943 Vehicle tags had been purchased and moved that the Village charge the same as previous years. i.e., two collars discount would be allowed if said Vehicle tagsvere purchased before lurch 1, 1943 and also that free licenses would be issued to all board members and firemen. ,yes, Greinke, Haas, Habericamp, LeMay, Mortimer and Wille. Nays, none. President Besander asked if there were any requests from the audience and lir. Stoelk responded by stating; that the planting of trees had been completed on North Wille Street. He also stated that he would like to inquire into curb and gutter question in the 400 block of Wille Street. INO Trustee Ville requested the clerk to read a letter that he had received 1 " from Franklin Pioneer Corporation, which stated that they had entered into an agreement with Robert J. Bluett to finance homes which Bluett proposes to erect on the 400 blocks of North Mille Street and as a part of t ;e terms of this agreement a sum of :1500 has been deposited by Mr. Bluett for the purpose of installing curb and gutters on both sides. The work to be done by June 1,1943. This letter was ordered to be placed on file. Bar. Bluett was present and gave the board his assurance that he intended to comply 100% with Village Building Code in the building of thirty homes, which he plans to erect in Mt. Prospect. It was moved by Haberkamp and seconded by Greinke that the Mt. Prospect State Bank and the First National Bank Of Chicago continue as depositors for the funds of ?red 'Mille, Treasurer and collector, as per statement of September 30,1942. Ayes, Greinke, Haas, H&beritamp, Lellay, :Mortimer and Ville. Nays, none. There being no further business to come before this meeting, it was moved by Trustee Mortimer and seconded by Trustee Greinke that the meeting be adjourned. Motion carried. ► )
