HomeMy WebLinkAbout07/17/1946 VB minutes 17 MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES HELD IN THE VILLAGE OF MT. PROSPECT, ILLINOIS ON THE 17TH DAY OF JULY 1946 A.D. The meeting was called to order at 8:30 P.M. by President Pendleton. The roll being called, the following Trustees responded: Hartwig, Kirchhoff, Lams, Mott, Wax and Welsh. As the Mt. Prospect Voluntee Fire Department had scheduled their regular meeting in the Village Hall, it was moved by Trustee Wax and second- ed by Trustee Welsh that the Board adjourn to the Lutheran School. Motion carried. After the meeting was called to order in the Lutheran School, the Clerk read the following communications: Mr. Roy E. Schlemmer, Village Clerk Mt. Prospect, I11. Dear Sir: Please call a special meeting of the Village Board of Trustees to be held at the Village Hall July 17 at 8:30 P.M. The purpose of this meeting is to pass, on the Moehling subdivision plat, to discuss plans and specifications for the new village hall with out engineers and to transact any other business that may properly come before the Board at that time. Gentlemen: In compliance with statute requirements, I hereby appoint Mr. Leonard Snyder and Mr. Melton Sporleder. to the Board of Health of the Village of Mt. Pros- pect. It was moved by Trustee Lams, seconded by Trustee Wax that the appointments of Mr. Leonard Snyder and Mr. Melton Sporleder be concurred in. Motion carried. After due consideration by the Board a motion was made by Trustee Lams that the plat of Moehling's Pleasant -Dale Subdivision be approved, subject to compliance with Section 5, Paragraphs A, B, C, D, and E of the Mt. Prospect Village Plan; and upon filing of satisfactory security for the performance of the above conditions, the President and.Clerk are authorized to execute the plat. Ayes: Hartwig, Kirchhoff, Lams and Welsh. Mayes: Mott and Wax. Motion carried. It was moved by Trustee Mott and seconded by Trustee Wax that the Treasurer's report for the year ending April 30, 1946 be accepted and placed on file. Motion carried. A motion was made by Trustee Kirchhoff and seconded by Trustee Hartwig that the Treasurer's report for the year ending April 30, 1946 be published in the Mt. Prospect Herald. Ayes: Hartwig, Kirchhoff, Lams, Mott, Wax and Welsh. No nayes. A motion was made by Trustee Mott and seconded by Trustee Welsh that the preliminary plans of the new administration building be accepted. ," Motion carried. A motion was made by Trustee Mott and seconded by Trustee Welsh that the Village Engineers Townsend and Associates, proceed with the design, detail plans and specifications, including corrections made to the preliminary plansof the new Administration Building. ,Ayes: Hartwig, Kirchhoff, Lams, Mott, Wax and Welsh. No nayes. There being no further business to come before this meeting, it was moved by Trustee Lams, seconded by Trustee Wax that the meeting be adjourned. Motion carried. / July 17, 1946
