PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES, HELD
IN THE VILLAGE HALL, MOUNT PROSPECT,
ILLINOIS, ON THE 10TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER
1946 A.D.
President Pendleton called the meeting to order at 8:15 P.M. The
roll was called and the following Trustees responded: Hartwig, Kirchhoff,
Lams, Mott, Wax and Welsh.
Mr. Charles S. Elias, attorney, and Mr. Fred W. Kloman, his
associate were introduced to the Board by the President. Mr. Elias then
presented a proposition whereby he would represent the Village in institut-
ing voluntary and involuntary foreclosure proceedings of all tax delinquent
property in the Village of Mount Prospect. Mr. Elias was informed that his
proposal would be given due consideration and that he would be notified of
the Board's decision at a later date. -
Offers from the Busse Motor Sales and the Arlington Chevrolet Co.
to furnish a police car were then read. After discussion by the Board, it
was moved by Trustee Kirchhoff and seconded by Trustee Lams that the Village
purchase the Buick for $1150.00. Ayes: Kirchhoff, and Lams. Nayes: Mott,
Wax and Welsh. Trustee Hartwig passed.President Pendleton declared the
motion defeated.
A motion was made by Trustee Welsh, seconded by Trustee Wax that
the Village purchase the Chevrolet for $718.63. Ayes: Mott, Wax and Welsh.
Nays: Kirchhoff and Lams. Trustee Hartwig passed. President Pendleton
declared the motion carried. •
A motion was made by Trustee Kirchhoff and seconded by Trustee
,hams that four tires be purchased for the present police car. Ayes: Hartwig,
Kirchhoff, Lams, Mott, Wax and Welsh. No nayes.
It was moved by Trustee Wax, seconded by Trustee Mott, that the
Police Committee be authorized to purchase appropriate signs and have them
installed oa the barricades ofthe Public School aid the St. Paul's Lutheran
School. Ayes: Hartwi, Kirchhoff, Lams, Mott, ilex and Welsh. No nayes.
The Clerk then read "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE WELLER CREEK
DRAINAGE DISTRICT AND FEEHA VILLL DRAINAGE DISTRICT TO JOIN THEIR :SYSTEM I
DRAINAGE DISTRICT AND L'- � j �. DISTRICT JOIN , SYSTEM �
AT THE INTERSECTION OF ELMHURST ROAD AND HENRY STREET IN TEE VILLAGE OF
MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS NO. 27 -461. A motion was made by Trusteee.Mott
and seconded by Trustee Lams that the Resolution be passed. Ayes: Hartwig,
Kirchhoff°, Lams, Mott, Wax and Welsh. No nayes.
A motion was made by Trustee Wax, seconded by Trustee Kirchhoff
that the plans and specifications for paving, curbs, and sidewalks in
Lonnquist Gardens and parts of Prospect Park Country Club Subdivision be
approved. Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before this meeting, it
was moved by Trustee Hartwig and seconded by Trustee Mott that the meeting
be adjourned. Motion carried.
