CLOSED SESSION
AUGUST 12, 2008
The meeting was convened at 9:15 p.m., in the third floor Executive Conference Room of
Village Hall, 50 South Emerson, by Mayor Irvana Wilks. Those present at the Closed Session
were: Trustees Paul Hoefert, John Korn, Arlene Juracek, Steven Polit and Michael Zadel. Also
in attendance was Village Manager Michael Janonis.

Personnel Discussion
Village Board members reviewed and discussed the resignation letter tendered by Trustee
Timothy Corcoran on August 8, 2008. There were brief discussions regarding issues of timing
and process. Board members reviewed the Village Attorney's legal memorandum regarding the
mechanics of filling the vacancy. Mayor Wilks asked each Village Board member to forward to
�, her a single name of a potential replacement individual for her consideration. It was agreed by
A _ ; all it would be in the best interest of the Village to move as quickly as possible to fill this
vacancy.
vi The Village Manager indicated that staff, in conjunction with Trustee Corcoran, were working
on a draft of a press release with plans to make same public before the end of the week.

o There was no further discussion in Closed Session and on a motion by Trustee Zadel,
seconded by Trustee Polit; the Closed Session was adjourned at 9:57 p.m.
