HomeMy WebLinkAbout11/13/1962 VB minutes MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES HELD IN THE VILLAGE HALL ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 18,'1962 Clerk Ruth Wilson called the meeting to order at 8:18 P.M. and the following members were present: roll call Bickley Bruhl Casterline Absent: Pres. 8chlaver Ekren Gaw Phillips Trustee Gaw, seconded by Trustee Phillips, moved that Trustee Parker Ekren serve as president poo rem. This motion carried by a unanimous vote. Trustee Phillips, seconded by Trustee Bruhl, moved that the minutes minutes of November 6th be accepted as submitted. Upon roll call: Ayes: Phillips Ekren Pass: Bickley Gaw Bruhl Casterline Motion carried. Trustee Bruhl, seconded by Trustee Casterline, moved for payment of the following bills: bills General $12,383.82 Garbage 7,187.05 Library 618.03 Water operations 3,111.72 $23,300.68 Upon roll call: Ayes: Phillips Ekren Gaw Bruhl Bickley Casterline Motion carried. Finance Director Kine explained that Bpecial Assessment #53 had a deficiency because improvement expenses were~in excess of amount appropriated. Finance Dept. re Trustee Bruhl, seconded by Trustee Phillips, moved that the S.A. Finance Director pay the sum of $1,937.90 from the General Fund for S.A. 53 defic~enc deficiency, of which $1,253.00 has been appropriated from public benefit and the remaining $684.~0 is to be transferred by supplemental appropriation. Upon roll call: Ayes: Phillips Ekren Gaw Bruhl Bickley Casterline Motion carried. Trustee Phillips asked for executive session to be held with Water engineers from C. T. & A. and the Miller Company regarding water problems and Well #6. It was agreed to meet the following Monday evening. Trustee Bick'ley, seconded by Trustee Bruht, moved for approval Finance'- and payment of bill from Meyer TV & Radio in the amount of $163.28 for tape tape recorder and accompanying equipment, recorder Upon roll call: Ayes: Phillips Ekren Gaw Bruhl Bickley Casterline Motion carried. Trustee Bickley asked that no committee or appointed board make purchase of equipment unless written purchase order is signed by the Manager, so that the Finance Department might keep track of monies authorized and spent. November 13, 1962 Trustee Bickley, seconded by Trustee Bruhl, moved for the Ord. 879 passage of Ord. 879: Traffic AN ORDINANCE REPEALING CERTAIN PARTS OF SEC. 18.201 .(THROUGH STREET) of Municipal Code, WHICH IS SUPER- SEDED BY THIS AMENDMENT. Upon roll call: Aye: Bickley Bruhl Casterline Ekren Gaw Phillips Motion carried. Trustee Bickley, seconded by Trustee Casterline, moved for the Ord. 880 passage of Ord, 880: Auto Laundries Special Use in AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE B-3 zoning VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT SO AS TO MAKE AUTO LAUNDRIES A SPECIAL USE IN THE B-8 BUSINESS CLASSIFICATION. Upon roll call: Ayes: Bickley Bruhl Casterline Ekren Gaw Phillips Motion carried. This refers to Zoning Case 62-32. Trustee Gaw~ seconded by Trustee Casterline, moved for the Ord. 881 passage of Ord. 881: Rezoning Case 62-29 AN ORDINANCE AMENDINGTHE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT ZONING ORDINANCE RELATING TO PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF ELMHURST ROAD AND GOLF ROAD. This refers to Zoning Case 62-29, Upon roll call: Ayes: Bickley Bruhl Casterline Ekren Gaw Phillips Motion carried. Trustee 8ruhl, seconded by Trustee Casterline, moved for the Res. 21-62 adoption of Res. 21-62: Randhurst Bank as depository A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING RR~DHURET~BANK AEMM AS DEPOSITORY OF FtEEAEE C~NTR~C~ORS2EURETY & SIDEWALK BOND ACCOUNT. Upon roll call: Ayes: Bickley Bruhl Casterline Ek~en Gaw Phillips Motion carried. Trustee Bruhl, seconded by Trustee Casterline, moved for the Res. 22-52 adoption of Res. 22-62: Prospect Plaza Bank as A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING PROSPECT PLAZA BANK depository AS DEPOSITORY OF PARKING SYSTEM REVENUE FUND. Upon roll call: Ayes: Bickley Bruhl Casterline Ekren Gaw Phillips Motion carried. Finance Director King explained that the Prospect Plaza Bank counts the parking meter money for no charge and it was deemed expedient to transfer the coins direct to this bank for counZing and deposit, MFT Trustee Gaw asked for meeting on the fo~owing Saturday a~ 1:80 P.M. regardln~ Motor Fuel Tax funds. The members agreed to attend. Water & sewer The matter of water and sewer easements in Funk's Mount Prospec~ easements in Gardens Subdivision was referred to the Water Committee. Funk"s Mt. P. Trustee Phillips, seconded by Trustee Gaw, moved for the Res. 23-62 adoption of Res. 23-62: Guarantee repairs zo State A RESOLUTION TO GUARANTEE THE WORK OF REPAIR OF IMPROVEMENTS MADE BY THE VILLAGE ANYWHERE WITHIN VILLAGE LIMITS AND TO HOLD THE STATE OF ILLINOIS HARMLESS FOR ANY DAMAGES THAT MAY OCCUR DURING SUCH REPAIRS.
