March 28, 1962 Mr. H. G. Appleby, Village Manager Mount Prospecm, Illinois Dear Sir: As Village Ms~ager, I'm sure you get a great many complaints in general, so thought I'd write a note of praise for your Police Dept. A week ago Monday morning my husband was waiting at Rt. 83 and Euclid for a bus when a car wen~ out of control and hit him. Sgt. Hedlund and another police officer (Pascoe) came immediately and stood by until the Cook County Police arrived, inasmuch as we are out of the Village Limits. April 3, 1962 want you mo know that both officers were very kind and courteous aud believe me, I sure needed their kindness at that moment. The Cook County police took my husband To Holy Family gospital for X-rays and first aid, and I'm grateful ~o them also. perhaps this is considered just parm of a job, but I feel the police officers involved that morning were a credit to all of us. Sure, I'm like many "good citizens" - quick ~o condom - so want you to know how very grateful I am for all the assistance offered both my husband and myself am a time when we sure needed help.
