HomeMy WebLinkAbout07/23/1948 VB minutes 90 MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING "*, OF THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES HELD IN THE VILLAGE HALL, MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS ON FRIDAY, JULY 23, 1948. The meeting was called to order by President Pendleton at 8 :30 P. M. On roll call the following Trustees responded: Bayne, Bydal, Hartwig, Lams and Welsh. Trustee Mott was absent. The following communication was then read: Mt. Prospect, Ill. July 19, 1948 Mr. Robert Milligan, Acting Village Clerk Village of Mt. Prospect Mt. Prospect, Illinois Dear Mr. Milligan: Will you please call a special meeting of the Village Board of Trustees to be held in the Village Hall at eight P. M. Friday evening, July 23. , The purpose of this meeting is to discuss jam. matters pertaining to our program of special assessments foreclosure and to take any action that the Board may care to take in the above matter, as well as to transact any other business that may properly come before the Board at that time. Ness of the Patten Tractor and Equipment Company then presented data on a Case Tractor model V A 1 with mower and loader attachments. A motion was made by Trustee Hartwig, second- ed by Lams, that the tractor and equipment as described be purchased on a rental basis for the sum of Two Thousand Three Hundred Thirteen Dollars and Thirty Cents ($2313.30)and that President Pendleton and Trustee Hartwig, chairman of streets committee, be authorized to execute the Rental Order. The Presi- dent put the question and the roll was called with the following results: Ayes: All. Nays: None. There- """ upon the President declared the motion carried. A "RESOLUTION REPEALING SPECIAL ASSESSMENT FORECLOSURE RESOLUTIONS HERETOFORE PASSED" No.10 -48 was then reed. A motion was made by Trustee Lams, second- ed by Bydal, that the resolution be adopted. The Preā€žgident put the question and the roll was called with the following results: Ayes: All. Nays: None. Thereupon, the President declared the motion carried and said resolution adopted. The motion was then made by Trustee Welsh, - seconded by Hartwig, that the Village attorney be in- (2; structed to send a registered letter to all concerned regarding the foregoing resolution repealing special assessment foreclosure resolutions. The President put the.question end the roll was called with the follow - ing results: Ayes: All. Nays: None. Thereupon the President declared the motion carried. A motion was made by Trustee Welsh, seconded by Hartwig, that the meeting be adjourned. The motion was voted upon by acclamation, whereupon the President declared the motion carried and the meeting regularly adjourned. '
