CLOSED SESSION
SEPTEMBER 6, 2005
The meeting convened at 8:40 p.m. by Mayor Wilks, in the Village Hall Executive Conference Room,
50 South Emerson Street. The purpose of the Closed Session was to discuss Property Acquisition
and Personnel. Present were: Trustees Timothy Corcoran, Paul Hoefert, John Korn, Richard
Lohrstorfer, Michaele Skowron and Michael Zadel. Staff present included: Village Manager Michael
Janonis.

Personnel
Board members took up discussion regarding the Village Manager's performance over the past year.
It was noted that a planned increase in the Manager's salary during calendar year 2004 was not
undertaken. There was also discussion regarding the Manager's relative success in achieving goals
(23 that had been set out for the Village Board over the last several years. Overall, the Manager's
g I performance was deemed to meet expectations. The Board tentatively agreed to an increase in the
Manager's salary consisting of two separate raises covering the periods of 1) 5% retroactive to
5/1/04 ($141,015) and, 2) 5% retroactive to 5/1/05 ($148,066).
