HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 09-45 10/02/1945 P40.9-4-Er A RESOLUTION SETTING UP CERTAIN PROPOSED POST WAR IMPROVEMENTS AND REQUESTING STATE AND FEDERAL AID IN THE PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR SAID WORK. WHEREAS, it is in keeping with good municipal government to formulate plans for the future development and welfare of the village, and WHEREAS, the State and Federal governments urgently request all Cities and Villages to formulate and develop plans for post war work, and WHEREAS, the projects hereinafter listed are most necessary for the welfare of the Village of Mount Prospect, and WHEREAS, the Village does not have sufficient funds to pay the entire cost of the preparation of plans and specifications for such projects; now, therefore: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the President and the Board of Trustees, being the only planning agency for the Village of Mount Prospect, do hereby designate the following work projects as the basis for a Post War construction program for the Village of mount Prospect: 1. New Administration building 2. Intercepting sewers, force main, and sewage treatment plant. 3. Storm relief sewer. 4. Crossing gates at Emerson Street. 5. Pedestrian subway. 6. Water softening plant.. Section 2. That application be made to the Federal Works Agency and to the State of Illinois Planning Commission for aid r ° in financing the preparation of Plans and Specifications for the above set forth work projects; and that idr. Maurice B. Pendleton, President of the Board of Trustees of the village, be and he is hereby designated as the authorized agent of the Village of Mount Prospect to make such applications. Section 3. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval. PASSED this 2 day of October, 1945. APPROVED this Z of October, 1945. I a
