No. 15 - 46 WHEREAS, ordinances have heretofore been adopted providing for the construction of certain water, sewer, sidewalk and paving improvements in portions of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois; and WHEREAS, special assessments were levied to pay the cost of said work and pursuant to the Statute -- applicable thereto said im- provements were constructed and the report of cost and completion was approved in manner and form provided by law; and WHEREAS, certain installments of said special assessments. ilevied against individual lots have not been paid and are now past due and delinquent; and th WHEREAS, the President and the B oard of Trustees find that it will be for the best interests of the Village that said special assessment liens be foreclosed; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois: ► Section 1. That the special assessment liens against the '.following described real estate, to -wit: Lots 1,2,3,4, 6,7,9,14,15,16,17,18,19,23,25, 31,32,34,35 ,36,37,38,39,40,47,48,50,51,52, 54,57,59,60,61 ,63,78,80,105,122,138,139,144, 153,154,159,164,166,167 and 168 in Laudermilk Villa, being a subdivision in the South East quarter of Section 34, Township 42 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois [be foreclosed. i. Section 2. That the attorney for the Village of Mount Prosper be and he is hereby authorized and directed to prosecute said fore- closure suit as he may deem best, and to cooperate with the States Attorney of Cook County in procuring the foreclosure of the lien of general taxes on said lots, if any there be, and this Board re- quests the States Attorney to foreclose; and to cooperate with the • e r r f - officials of the Weller Creek Drainage or any other district in procuring the foreclosure of the lien of drainage benefit assess- ments upon said lots, if any there be, and t.is Board hereby re- quests said Drainage Districts to foreclose; that said attorney for the village is hereby authorized to file suit for foreclosure or to join in any suit or suits to foreclose instituted by the States Attorney to foreclose the lien of general taxes and to take such other steps as he deems proper to procure the prompt sale of said property to satisfy said liens. Section 3. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. Section 4. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law. PASSED this 24th day of April 1946. APPROVED this 24th day of April, 1946. tt I -2-
