HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 17-46 05/29/1946 { RESOLUTION FOR THE FORECLOSURE OF LIEN OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS. NO. 17-4-0, WHEREAS, ordinances have heretofore been adopted pro- viding for the construction of certain local improvements in the Village of Mount Prospect; and WHEREAS, special assessments were levied to y the 1 cost of said work, and, pursuant to the Statute applicable thereto, said improvements were constructed and the report of cost and completion was approved in manner and form provided by law; and WHEREAS, certain installments of said special assess - ments levied against individual lots and parcels of land have not been paid and are now past due and delinquent; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees find that will be for the best interests of the Village that said special assessment liens be foreclosed; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees. of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois: Section 1. That the special assessment liens against the following described real estate, to -wit: Lots 8, 9, 10. 11 and 26 in Busse's Resubdi- vision of Lots 1 to 6 of xesubdivision of Lots 1 to 6, Block 4, Lots 2 and 5 Block 5, all of Block 6, Lots 15 to24•Block 7 and Lots 17 to 20 Block 8 Meier's Addition to Mount Prospect in the Northwest quarter Section 12, township 41 North, Range 11, East of the 3rd P.M., Lot 11 in Block 9 in Prospect Park Country Club Subdivision, a subdivision of the South East quarter and the South 15 acres of the East half of the North East quarter Section 11, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the 3rd P.M. -2- Lots 6, 7 and 9 in Block 4 in Busse & wille's Resubdivision in Mount Prospect, being in the West half of Section 12, Town- ship 41 North, Range 11, East of 3rd P.M.; be foreclosed. Section 2. That the attorney for the Village of Mount Prospect be and he is hereby authorized and directed to prose- cute said foreclosure suit as he may deem best, and to cooperate with the State's Attorney of Cook County in procuring the fore - closure of the lien of general taxes on said lots, if any there be, and with the officials of the Drainage Districts in procur- ing the foreclosure of the lien of Drainage District benefit assessments on said lots, if any there be, and this Board re- I ( quests said State's Attorney and officials of the Drainage Districts to foreclose; and that said attorney for the Village is hereby authorized to file suit for foreclosure or to join in any suit or suits to foreclose instituted by the State's Attorney to foreclose the lien of general taxes and to take such other steps as he deems proper to procure the prompt sale of said pro- perty to satisfy said liens. Section 3. All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. Section 4. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect forthwith upon its adoption and approval. PASSED: this day of ,1946. APPROVED: this 7 -- day of , 1946.
