HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 21-46 07/02/1946 FMO*AGH s y146 Hatch RESOLUTION FOR THE FORELOSURE OF LIEN_OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS No. 21 -46 > ilMRFAS ordinances have heretofore been adopted pro - viding for the construction of certain local improvements in the Village of Mount Prospect; and WHEREAS special assessments were levied to pay the cost of said work, and, pursuant to the Statute applicable thereto, said improvements were constructed and the report of cost and completion was approved in manner and form provided by law; and WHEREAS, certain installments of said special assess- ments levied against individual lots and parcels of land have not been paid and are now past due and delincuent; and HEREAS the President and Board of Trustees find that it will be for the best interests of the Village that said special assessment liens be foreclosed; now, therefore BE IT RESO VFD by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois: Section 1. That the special assessment liens against the following described real estate, to -wit: Lot 137 in H. Roy Berry Cols., Colonial Manor Subdivision in Sections 11 and 12, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian; be foreclosed. Section P. That the attorney for the Village of Mount Prospect be and he is hereby authorized and directed to prose- , cute said foreclosure suit as he may deem best, and to cooperate with the Staters Attorney of Cook County In procur- ing the foreclosure of the lien of general taxes on said lots, ji I Y# • n if any there be, and with the officials of the Drainage Dis- tricts in procuring the foreclosure of the lien of Drainage District benefit special assessments on said lots, if any there be, and this Board reouests said State's Attorney and offi- cials of the Drainage Districts to foreclose; and that said Attorney for the Village is hereby authorized to file suit for foreclosure or to join in any suit or suits to foreclose instituted by the State's Attorney to foreclose the lien of general taxes and to take such other steps as he deems proper to procure the prompt sale of said property to satisfy said liens. Section 3. All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be and. -the same are hereby repealed. Section 4. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and approval. PASSED: this 2nd day of July, A.D. 1946. APPROVED: this 2nd day of July, A.D. 1946. FI 1 { 3
