HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 23-46 07/10/1946 FMO *AGH 6/28/46 RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE CANVASS OF THE VOTES CAST AT THE SPECIAL ELECTION HELD JULY 10, 1946. NO. 23 WHEREAS, a special election was held on Wednesday, July 10, 1946, for the purpose of voting Yes or No on the Ordinance providing for the borrowing of One Hundred Forty -five Thousand Dollars ($145,000.00); and WHEREAS. The President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect have canvassed the votes cast at such election, as by statute in such case made and provided, have made a finding and are ready to declare the results thereof, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois: Section 1. That the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect find that 25 votes were cast at the special election held on Jul 10, 1946. P July � Section 2. That on the following ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE providing for borrowing money and issuing Municipal Building Bonds of the Village of Mount Prospect, Coolc County, Illinois, in the amount of V145,000, and providing for the collection of a direct annual tax for the payment of the principal and in- terest of said bonds;" the following number of votes were cast: Ballots "Yes" 2 2 9 Ballots "No" 13 Defective Ballots 0 Spoiled Ballots 8 Blank Ballots Total votes cast 2 50 _ and the proposition having received MORE than a majority of all of the votes cast, the proposition is hereby declared ,4 PP o V 2 PASSED: this JDLIday of July, 1946.
