RESOLUTION GRANTING PROSPECT..
HEIGHTS FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT
WATER FOR FIRE PURPOSES._
WHEREAS, the Prospect heights Fire Protection District
has procured as part of its fire fighting equipment a water tank
with a capacity of 800 gallons for use in extinguishing fires;
and
WHEREAS, the ' said District, because of lack of water
within their boundaries, have made application to the Village of
Mount Prospect for water to be so used and which is obtainable
from a fire plug located on Elmhurst Road near Foundry Road; and
WHEREAS,, the Village of Mount Prospect is desirous of co-
operating with the said District, NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
i THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That the Village of Mount Prospect hereby
agrees to furnish water, without charge, to the Prospect Heights
Fire Protection District, to be used solely for fire protection
purposes, for a period of two years from the date hereof and may
be extended by Resolution at the expiration of the term set forth
herein.

Section 2. That the supply of water may be taken from
the fire plug located on Elmhurst Road near Foundry Road and be
pumped into the water tank, provided however, that the Superin-
tendent of Water of the Village of Mount Prospect shall be
notified each time that such water is taken and provided further,
that the persons of the Prospect Heights Fire Protection District
shall at all times use caution and care and agree to prevent any
damage to the fire hydrant or any appurtenances thereto.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval.
