HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 01-47 01/07/1947 Resolution No. I-41 WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect having become familiarized with Public Law 45 78th Congress, as amended, and the regulations promulgated by the Federal Works Administrator pursuant thereto, and having determined that such law and regulations are applicable to the Village of Mount Prospect in the planning of non - Federal public works, and WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect has for a period of time recognized the need for Storm Relief Sewers to pro- vide g the Sanitary economic llageiofbMountcProspectr, vin g and WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect has been and is unable to initiate such plan preparation because of its inability to provide funds for the purpose, and WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect is legally em- powered to plan, construct, finance, operate and maintain the public works unter consideration, and WHEREAS, pursuant to the above- mentioned law administered by the Federal Works Agency, Bureau of Community Facilities, advances of public funds are made available for public works plan preparation in order to make advance provision for the construction of non - Federal public works, not including housing. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect as follows: 1. That an application be submitted to the Bureau of Community Facilities of the Federal Works Agency for an advance of funds to prepare plans and specifications for Storm Relief Sewers 2. That Maurice B. Pendleton , Village President , is hereby designated as the official representative of the Village of Mount Prospect for this purpose and is hereby authorized to sign such appli- cation and furnish the Government with such general, technical, and financial information and data as may be requested; and 3. That in accordance with Section 8 of the Regulations of the Bureau the Village of Mount Prospect plans and reasonably expects to initiate the construction of the proposed public works within four years after receipt of the advance and to prosecute the public works to completion.
