HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 08-47 04/15/1947 FMO *AGH 1 &5c 4/18/47 RESOLUTION FOR THE FORECLOSURE OF LIEN OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS Ks 8 - 47 # # # E # * WHEREAS. ordinances have heretofore been adopted pro- , for the construction of certain local improvements in II the Village of Mount Prospect; and WHEREAS. special assessments were levied to pay the cost of said work, and, pursuant to the Statute applicable !;! thereto, said improvements were constructed and the report of cost and completion was approved in manner and form provided by law; and a special assess - m s AREAS, certain installments of said p dua lots and parcels of land have t levied against individual en s g not been paid and are now past due and delinquent; and WHEREAS., the President and Board of Trustees find that 1 it will be for the best interests of the Village that said special assessment liens be foreclosed; NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois: SECTION. 1. That the special assessment liens against the following described real estate, to -wit: j Lots 1, 2, 5, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 21 and 22 in re- subdivision of Block 7 in Busse Eastern Addition to Mount Prospect, being a Subdivision of that part of the North East Quarter (1/4) of Section 12, Town 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, North of the right -of -way of the C. & N.W. Railroad and also Lot I in Oehlerking's Division of Land in the South Bast Quarter (1/4) of said North East Quarter (1 /4)f be foreclosed. SECTION 2. That the Attorney for the Village of Mount Prospect be and he is hereby authorized and directed to prose- . -2- cute said foreclosure suit as he may deem best, and to cooperate with the State's Attorney of Cook County in procuring the foreclosure of the lien of general taxes on said lots, if any there be, and with the officials of the Drainage Districts in procuring the foreclosure of the lien of Drainage District benefit special assessments on said lots, if any there be, and this Board requests said State's Attorney and officials of the Drainage Districts to foreclose; and that said Attorney for the Village is hereby authorized to file suit for foreclosure or to join in any suit or suits to foreclose instituted by the State's Attorney to foreclose the lien of general taxes and to take such other steps as he deems proper to procure the prompt sale of said property to satisfy said liens. SECTION 3. All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and approval. PASSED: this 16th day of April, A.D. 1947. APPROVED: this 16th day of April, A.D. 1947. li ' j
