HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 01-51 01/09/1951 FMO *AGH 1 &5c 1/11/51 RESOLUTION NO. / A RESOLUTION TO THE COUNTY BOARD OF COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS, REGARD- ING TAX FORECLOSURES. * * * * * * WHEREAS, litany applications are being made to the County Board of Cook County for the foreclosure of the lien of general taxes on delinquent and forfeited real estate within the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of said Village are in accord with the County Board that tax foreclosure proceedings be continued to restore delinquent properties to the tax rolls. NOW, THEREFORE, Be it Resolved by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois: SECTION 1. That request is hereby made of the Board of Commissioners of the County of Cook that only vacant property be considered for the extinguishment of the lien of general taxes by foreclosure. SECTION 2. That the President and Board of Trustees request the Board of Commissioners of Cook County not to con- sider or accept any offer on vacant property at a guaranteed bid of less than 50% of the principal amount due and sought to be foreclosed. SECTION 3. That no request for the foreclosure of im- proved property within the limits of the Village of Mount Prospect for the foreclosure of tax liens be considered. SECTION 4. That this Board has adopted a policy not to accept any bids for the forelosure of delinquent assessments for less than 50% of the principal amount due. SECTION 5. That a certified copy of this Resolution be -2- forwarded to the Board of Commissioners of the County of Cook and State of Illinois. SECTION 6. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval, according to law. PASSED: this 9th day of January, A.D. 1951.
