HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 02-51 02/06/1951 FMO*AGH 1 &5c RESOLUTION No. 2 -51 RESOLUTION PROTESTING THE INCREASE OF ILLINOIS BELL TELEPHONE COMPANY RATES. * * * * * * BE IT RESOLVED By the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois: Section 1. That it is the opinion of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect that the proposed general increase in telephone rates sought by the Illinois Bell Telephone Company should not be granted because: 1. A recent increase in rates was granted; 2. Since the increase the telephone service has becone con- sistently worse; 3. Such an increase, if granted, would contribute substantially to the upward spiralling of inflation already at the danger point. Section 2. That a copy of this Resolution be sent to the Illinois Commerce Commission. Passed: this 6th day of February, 1951. Approved: this 6th day of February, 1951. ,
