HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 07-51 04/03/1951 FMO *AGH 1 &9c 3/30/51 RESOLUTION PERTAINING TO TAX EXEMPTION ON MUNICIPAL BONDS WHEREAS, there is now pending in the House of Repre- sentatives in Washington, a bill to remove tax exemptions on ! Municipal bonds and said bill is now before the Ways and Means Committee of the House; and WHEREAS, the Bill is detrimental to municipalities, in that it will make financing of municipal projects more difficult; NOW, THEREFORE, Be it Resolved by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois: SECTION 1. That this Board is opposed to the House Bill pertaining to the removal of tax exemption on Municipal Bonds as being detrimental to municipalities and their financing problems. SECTION 2. That a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Speaker of the House, the Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee of the House, the Honorable Thomas J. O a member and the Honorable Noah M. Mason, a member. SECTION 3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect forthwith upon its passage and approval. PASSED: this 3rd day of April, A.D. 1951.
