HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 10-51 05/08/1951 FMO*AGH 1 &6e 5/8/51 RESOLUTION TO FORECLOSE THE LIEN: OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS * * * * ** WHEREAS., Ordinances have heretofore been adopted pro - viding for the construction of certain local improvements in the Village of Mount Prospect; and WHEREAS special assessments were levied to pay the cost of said work, and, pursuant to the Statute applicable thereto, said improvements were constructed and the report of costs and completion was approved in manner and form provided by law; and WHEREAS, certain installments of said special assess- manta levied against individual lots and parcels of land have not been paid and are now past due and delinquent; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees find that it will be for the best interests of the Village that said spe- cial assessment liens be foreclosed; lit, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois: SECTION 1,. That the special assessment liens against the following described real estate, to -wit: Lots 58, 72, 76, 249 and 274 also Lots 229, 282, 283, 284, 127, 177, 170, 205, 207, 223, 230, 255, 293, 306 and 312 All in H. Roy Berry Company's Colonial Manor, being a- Subdivision of part of the Northwest Quarter of Section 11, and part of the North west Quarter of Section 12, all in Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois; be foreclosed. SECTION 2. That the Attorney for the Village of Mount -2- Prospect be and he is hereby authorized and directed to prose- . cute said foreclosure suit as he may deem best, and to cooper - ate with the State's Attorney of Cook County in procuring the foreclosure of the lien of general taxes on said lots, if any there be, and with the officials of the Drainage Districts in procuring the foreclosure of the lien of Drainage District benefit special assessments on said lots, if any there be, and this Board requests said State's Attorney and officials of the Drainage Districts to foreclose; and that said Attorney for the Village is hereby authorized to file suit for foreclosure or to join in any suit or suits to foreclose instituted by the Staters Attorney to foreclose the lien of general taxes and to take such other steps as he deems proper to procure the prompt sale of said property to satisfy said liens. SECTION 3. All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. SECTION k. That this resolUt #on shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and approval. PASSED: this 8th day of May, A.D. 1951. APPROVED: this 8th day of May, A.D. 1953.
