RESOLUTIOi authorizing, acceptance
of alternate bid on Contract No. 3
Waterworks Improvements 1954 and
directing officers to execute
supplement contract.
WHEREAS, the Village of Nount Prospect on April 5,
1955, received binds for a portion of the Waterworks Improve-
ments - 1954, known as Contract No. 3, Steel Elevated Tank
and Reservoir, and
iHEREAS, alternate bids were received on said
Contract No. for elevated tanks having capacities of
750,000 gallons capacity and 1,000,000 gallons capacity
respectively, and
� iHEREAS, on Nay 3, 1955, the Village of ►Mount
Prospect, acting through its President and Board of Trustees,
entered into a Contract with Chicago Bridge e, Iron Company
for the said Contract No. 3 on the basis of the 750,000
gallon tank alternate, in the amount of 5179,200.00,and
IIEREAS, it is now possible for the Village of
Mount Prospect to finance the additional cost of a 1,000,000
gallon elevated tank, now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Uount Prospect:
1. That the alternate proposal of Chicago Bridge
2. Iron Company for a 1,000,000 gallon elevated
tank be and the same hereby is accepted.
2. That the Total Contract Price for Contract
No. 3 be revised to equal the sum of $196,100.00
in accordance with said alternate proposal.
3. That Contract Supplement No. 1 modifying the
original contract heretofore cited be entered
into, and that the President and Clerk be
authorized and directed to sign the same on
behalf of the Village.
PASSED: the 2nd day of August, 1955.
APPROVED: the 2nd day of August, 1955.
