HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 19-55 11/01/1955 I 'X:;f,"; - "> <) WHEREAS, the Mount Prospect Park District has requested that the village convey to the said park district certain land here- inafter described; and WHEREAS it is to the best interest of the village that such land be so conveyed. NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the President and Board of Trustees of the village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, that: The following described parcels of land be conveyed to the Mount Prospect Park District, namely: (1) That parcel of land, commonly known as Lions Memorial Park, lying East of the East line of Maple street, consisting of the East Half (E t) of the North 60 rods (except the West 602.65 feet) of the Southwest Quarter (SW !) of Section 12, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Priaelpl1 Meridian in Cook County, Illinois. (2) That parcel of land, commonly known as Sunset Park, of approximately one acre, located at the intersection of Sunset Road and Wa-Pella Avenue, Mt. Prospect, Illinois, in the First Addition to Lonnquist Gardens Subdivision described as: The public park in Block 1 of the First Addition to Lonnquist Gardens Subdivision in Section 14, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian in Cook County, Illinois. (3) That parcel of land, commonly known as Owen Park, having for its dimensions approximately 300 feet by 300 feet, located atthe intersection of Owen and School Streets, Mt. Prespect, Illinois, in Block 8 of Busse's Eastern Addition to the Village of Mt. Prospect described as: The North 300 feet of Block 8 in Busse's . . 2 Eastern Addition to Mt~ Prospect, Section 12, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian in Cook County, Illinois. (4) That parcel of land, commonly known as Emerson Park, located at the intersection of Emerson and Gregory Streets, Mt. Prospect, Illinois, in Laudermilk Villa, Section 34, Township 42 North, Range 11 described as: Commencing at the Northeast corner of Lot 58 of Laudermilk Villa, a subdivision in the Southeast Quarter (SE !) of Section 34, Township 42 North, Range 11, thence North 293.7 feet along the West line of Maple Street, thence West 304.86 feet along the South line of Gregory Street, thence South 293.63 feet along the East line of Emerson Street to the North line of Lot 59, thence East along the North line of Lots 59 and 58 to place of beginning. (5) That parcel of land, commonly known as Fiarview Park, of approximately three acres, located on Oak Avenue between Gregory and Isabella Streets, Mt. Prospect, Illinois, being Block 6 in Northwest Meadows, a Subdivision in the East Half (Ei) of Section 33, Township 42 North, Range 11, East of the Thir9 Principal Meridian. (6) That parcel of land, commonly known as Weller Creek Park, located between Elmhurst Road and See-Gwun Avenue, on both the North and South sides of Weller Creek in Prospect Park Country Club Subdivision lying between Blocks 6, 7, 11, 12, 27 to 30, inclusive, also Blocks 17, 18, 25 and 26; also Northeast of Block 28 and West of Block 29, Section 11, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian in Cook County, Illinois. 3 (7) That parcel of land, commonly known as Country Club Terrace Park, located on Emerson Street at Emerson Court between Lots 135 and 136 in Country Club Terrace, a Subdivision of Section 13, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian in Cook County, Illinois, as Document No. 4595957 in Book 44 of Torrens Plats, Pages 26 to 29. (8) Those parcels of land located (a) at the intersection of Shabonee Trail and Hi-Lusi and Go-Wando Avenues; (b) at the intersection of Wa-Pel1a and Go-Wando Avenues and (c) at the intersection of Manawa Trail and Hi-Lusi Avenue, all said tracts being in Prospect Park Country Club Subdivision in Section 11, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian in Cook County, Illinois, and designated in the plat of subdivision as "park". The Village President and Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the village a quitclaim deed conveying the foregoing described property to the Mount Prospect Park District. A certified oopy of thiS~ll be furnished to the Mount Prospeot Park District. Passed on roll call vote this first day of November, 1955. ~~ : ) /.
