RESOLUTION NO 9-57
BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Mt. Prospect, Illinois that the said board
having considered House Bill 966 now pending before the
Illinois Legislature do and they hereby authorize the President
of said Village to advise the representatives of the 6th
Representative District of the State of Illinois Legislature
and the State Senator of the 1st Senatorial District tha~ with
respect to said House Bill 966 the said President and Members
of the Board of Trustees do hereby: \
(a) Object to and oppose that portion of said House Bill
966 that would give to the County Board of Commissioners the
power and authority to give to a Commdttee or Commission the
authority to consider and make recommendation of Amendments in
County Zoning matters and do hereby go on record in favor of
the retention of the power of the County Zoning Board of
Appeals to consider said matter; and
(b) Do hereby favor that portion of House Bill 966 which
would give to the Zoning Board of Appeals authority to consid.~
in amendment cases, matters pertaining to adequate provisions
for transportation, water, sewerage, schools, parks and other
public services.
