RESOLUTION NO. 24-57
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT
PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS,
ESTABLISHING SPECIFICATIONS FOR CON-
CRETE ALLEYS WITHIN THE VILLAGE OF
MOUNT PROSPECT
WHEREAS, By Ordinance No. 583 pursuant to Section
9.104 or the Municipal Code or Mount Prospect of 1957 as
amended, specifications ror alley pavement can be established
rrom time to time by the President and Board of Trustees or
the Village of Mount Prospect; and
WHERL~S, the corporate authorities of said Village
believe it is in the public interest to establish the follow-
,
ing specifications hereinarter set forth for all alley pave-
ment within the territorial limits or the Village of Mount
Prospec t,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT
AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT,
COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
Section. 1: That for all alley pavement installed
8~bsequent to the date of the adoption of this Resolution
the following specifications shall be followed:
"Pavements in alleys, shall be constructed or
concrete; shall be no less than sixteen (16)
feet in width measured from edges or concrete.
Conerete shall be a minimum of eight (8)
inches in thickness and shall be constructed
on a firm subgrade. The pavement shall have
an inverted crown draining toward the center
at no less than one-quarter inch (1/4") per
root and proper longitudinal drainage. Where
required by local conditions, adequate sewers,
manholes, and catch basins shall be provided
to assure proper drainage."

Section 2: This Resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval according
to law.
