RESOLUTION NO. 25-57
WliliREAS, the corporate authorities of the Village
of Mount Prospect have for many years past established a
practice of permitting members of the Plan Commission, Board
of Appeals, Volunteer Fire Department, Disabled Veterans,
Village employees and officials to receive city motor
vehicle stickers without cost; and
~lEREAS, the aforesaid action is premised upon
the public service furnished to the Village of Mount
Prospect by the members of the various groups aforesaid who
insofar as to the Plan Commission and Board of Appeals serve
without compensation, and insofar as to the VolUnteer Fire
Department, Village employees and officials it is the
opinion of the corporate authorities that the services
provided by said group of public spirited persons merits
this consideration by the said Village of Mount Prospect;
and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the corporate
authorities of the VillRge of Mount Prospect that the public
interest is benefited by providing said persons the motor
vehicle stickers without charge,
NOW, 'lIBEREFORE, BE I'll RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT
AND BOARD OF 'fRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUN'll PROSPEC'l', COOK
COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
1. That members of the Plan Commission,
Board of Appeals, Volunteer Fire Department,
Disabled Veterans, employees and officials
of the Village of Mount Prospect, be and they
are hereby exempted from paying to the Village
of Mount Prospect the charge for the motor
vehicle license sticker as set forth in
Section 17.103 of the Municipal Code of
Mount Prospect as amended.
2. That this Resolution shall become effective
upon its passage and approval as provided by law.
