HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 01-58 01/21/1958 WHEREAS, AND WHEREAS, AND WHEREAS, AND I^JHEREAS, AND WHEREAS, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED A RESOLUTION NO.1-58 Harold G. Appleby was appointed the first Village Manager of Mount Prospect, assuming the responsibilities of the Office on May 1, 1956. The Board of Trustees within two weeks placed upon him the added responsibility of Superintendent of Building for a period of 14 months thereafter, during which period over 900 building permits were issued, together with the enforcement of the Building Code, without added compensation. Harold G. Appleby, under the Municipal Code passed January 15, 1951, became Secretary of the Plan Comm- ission (ex officio) at a time when many additional meetings were held and are being held with the Village Planners, Evert Kincaid and Associates, without added compensation, Harold G. Appleby has increased the efficiency of the Building, Street, and Water Departments with improved service to the residents of Mount Prospect, Due to a persistent lack of co-operation on the part of the i~diate past Treasurer-Collector, proper procedures in the financial operation of this Village could not be implemented, despite many repeated requests for the necessary information pertaining there to , That a vote of confidence be tendered to Harold G. Appleby together with sincere appreciation for the services being rendered by him in the best interest of the Village of MOunt Prospect.
