RESOLUTION NO. ,-.--.s--~
WHEREAS, Prospect Avenue (formerly known as Railroad
Avenue) lies within the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County,
Illinois; and
WHEREAS, the portion of said Prospect Avenue east of
Emerson Street and west of Mount Prospect Road is under the
jurisdiction of the Cook County Highway Department; and
WHEREAS, during the last few years light industrial
development has taken place along said portion of said street;
and
'WHEREAS, the 400 residents in Surety's Bonnie Park Sub-
division south of Prospect Avenue between Mount Prospect Road
and Edward Street use Prospect Avenue as their main access
street; and
w.HE~S, this street has such deep holes in its surface
and is in such poor condition that it is hazardous to travel;
and
NOW, THEREPOR, BE IT RESOLVED BY 'l'HE PRESIDENT AND BOARD
OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY,
ILLINOIS, that the Cook County Highway Department be requested
for the protection of persons and property, to place high on
its program the immediate repair and permanent surfacing of
that portion of Prospect Avenue east of Emerson Street and
west of Mount Prospect Road in the said Village of Mount
Prospect.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the Village Clerk be and he
hereby is authorized and directed to transmit a certified copy
of tilis resolution to the Superintendent of Highways of Cook
County, Illinois.
