'WHEREAS, The Illinois State Toll Highway Commission, an
instrumentality and administrative agency of the State of Illinois, is
actively engaged in the completion of the Northern Illinois Toll Highway;
and
WHEREA.S, it is deemed necessary and expedient that the Illinois
State Toll Highway Commission provide as a public benefit and service cer-
tain directional and informational signs, delineators and mile markers
having for their purpose the guidance of motorists to the access points of
the Northern Illinois Toll Highway; and
WHEREAS, the installation of such signs and markers will expedite
the orderly flow of traffic, eliminate congestion and relieve the local
police authority of such directional duties and obligations ,all to the
benefit and service of the public; and
WHEREAS, the location, erection, and maintenance of such directional
signs are desirable and acceptable for the public safety and welfare.
NON, THEREFORE, Be It Resolved by the President and Board of Trustees
of The Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, as follows:_
1. The Illinois State Toll Highway Commission is hereby granted
the privilege and au.thori ty to erect said described signs and markers to conform
with the following ma.ximum size, construction, and description:
1. Size - 24" x 24" - maximum
2. Construction - sheet aluminum
3. Type - route delineators, trail blazers, informational and
directional signs and mile markers
4. Color - green or silver

2. The Illinois State Toll HighwB3" Conmdssion shall have the

3. The Illinois state Toll Highway Commission shall assume all
obligations with respect to installation, erection, maintenance and rapair
of all said directional signs and markers. Said signs and markers shall at
all times remain the sole property and liability of The Illinois state Toll
Highway Commission.
This Resolution shall bind the parties hereto, their successors
in office, and their assigns.
This Resolution shall be in full force and effect as of the day
of its Passage OIl this I~ DAY Of ~ ' 19~8.
