WHEREAS, the Superintendent of Highways of and for Cook County,
Illinois, has submitted plans for the improvement of a highway
known as Central Road, within the corporate limits of the Village
of Mount Prospect of, and
VnIEREAS, the improvement of said highway serves the public
convenience and necessity,
TBEBEFORE :BE IT RESOLVED, by the :Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect, that the County of Cook be and is
hereby authorized and empowered to proceed with the work of
construction in accordance with said plans, and
:BE IF FURT:H:l!."'R RESOLVED, that the County of Cook be and it is
hereby relieved and discharged of any and all liability for
any and all damage to property, and for any and all damage
done to or sustained by the pavements within the Village of
Mount Prospect by reason of detouring of traffic, or the hauling
of material, or from any other cause incident to the improvement
of the highway aforesaid,
:BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the responsibility for maintaining
this highway pavement, shoulders, sidewalks, grass areas and
utilities within this right-of-way shall not be waived, due to this
construction but said maintenance shall remain under the jurisdiction
of the agency in which it is now vested,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the grades as constructed are to be
established as permanent grades and any future construction will
adhere to these grades,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Village Clerk be and is hereby
instructed to transmit to the County Superintendent of Highways,
three (3) copies of this Resolution endorsed with the approval of the Board.
