MINUTES
CLOSED SESSION
MARCH 6, 2001
The Closed Session was convened at 9:06 p.m. by Mayor Farley to discuss Property
Acquisition and Litigation. Present were: Trustees Paul Hoefert, Richard Lohrstorfer,
Dennis Prikkel, Michaele Skowron and Irvana Wilks. Absent from the Closed Session
was Trustee Timothy Corcoran. Staff present included: Village Manager Michael
Janonis and Assistant Village Manager David Strahl.
Property Acquisition
Trustee Hoefert mentioned that he had been approached by the owner of the property
at approximately 225 South Emerson for the property between Mrs. P & Me and the
Mary Johnson property.
At this time, the consensus of the Village Board was not to consider purchasing
this property.
Litigation
Village Manager Janonis advised the Board that former Trustee Richard Hendricks has
recently filed three Cases in Court for several trip and falls, which he allegedly
experienced. He stated he will monitor these Cases and advise the Board that the
damages are limited to $1,500 per Case.
Village Manager stated that a settlement conference is scheduled for the Egebergh v.
Mount Prospect Case. This is the person that died in custody of the Cook County
Sheriffs Department. He stated that settlement discussions are underway and there
appears to be some question of fact that the Judge has determined.
The Closed Session adjourned at 9:30 p.m.
