MINUTES
CLOSED SESSION
November 13, 2001
The Closed Session was convened at 8:39 p.m. in the Human Services conference room. The
purpose of the Closed Session was to discuss Property Acquisition. Present were: Mayor Gerald
Farley and Trustees Paul Hoefert, Michaele Skowron, Irvana Wilks and Michael Zadel. Staff present
included: Village Manager Michael Janonis and Assistant Village Manager David Strahl.
Property ACQuisition
Village Manager Michael Janonis stated that he wanted to confirm the process the Village Board
would like to undertake to consider the purchase of the Bank One building.
There was general discussion regarding its possible purchase including comments about removing
the building from the tax rolls and the significant work that might be necessary for rehabilitation.
There was also a general discussion that it would be prudent to fully explore all options including this
purchase before construction of a new Village Hall commences.
There was also a discussion regarding the status of the medical building acquisition and what the
parking situation could be with the use of an alternative site.
There was no other business discussed in Closed Session. On a Motion by Trustee Wilks and
Seconded by Trustee Hoefert, the Closed Session adjourned at 9:27 p.m. No action was taken.
