Janonis MINUTES CLOSED SESSION JULY 20, 1999 The Closed Session was convened in the Conference Room of the Senior Citizens Center to discuss Land Acquisition at 9:57 p.m. Present were: Trustees Timothy Corcoran, Paul Hoefert, Richard Lohrstorfer, Daniel Nocchi, Michaele Skowron and Irvana Wilks. Absent from the Closed Session was Mayor Gerald Farley. Also present was Village Manager Michael Janonis. Property Acquisition Village Manager Janonis reviewed with Board members several ongoing property acquisition efforts. As a result of the update, the Village Board authorized the purchase of a parcel on the 200 block of South Emerson Street for an amount not to exceed $102,500. The Village Manager was directed to finalize the transaction and bring an appropriate contract forward to a future Board meeting. Additionally, the Village Board directed the Village Manager to pursue purchase of several properties between Elmhurst and Rand Roads adjacent to Randhurst Shopping Center that could subsequently be used for ring roads around the Rand/Kensington/Elmhurst Roads intersection. These purchases would be consistent with lOOT plans for improvements to the intersection. Staff was directed to try and utilize Illinois First funds recently reserved for this purpose by Representative Krause. If staff was unsuccessful, then the Village should proceed with the purchase and seek reimbursement from lOOT. Village Board also directed the Manager to pursue other properties adjacent to this intersection that could be utilized in completion of the ring-road plan. There was no other discussion in Closed Session. On a Motion by Trustee Wilks and Seconded by Trustee Nocchi, the Closed Session was adjourned at 10:23 p.m. by unanimous vote.
