MINUTES
CLOSED SESSION
September 15,1998
The Closed Session was convened at 10:13 p.m. by Mayor Farley to discuss Property Acquisition.
Present were: Trustees George Clowes, Timothy Corcoran, Paul Hoefert, Richard Lohrstorfer,
Daniel Nocchi and Irvana Wilks. Staff present included: Village Manager Michael Janonis, Assistant
Village Manager David Strahl and Community Development Director William Cooney.
Manager Janonis provided an update regarding the process of obtaining the plans and completing
the Pontarelli project as designed.
Manager Janon~s also requested the authority to file Condemnation papers on 117 North Main
Street.
Consensus of the Village Board was to authorize staff file Condemnation for 117 North Main
Street.
Community Development Director Cooney provided a summary of discussions regarding the
movement of Fannie May to the White Hen property site. He also has had some discussions
regarding the possible use of Gail's Carriage House, however, Fannie May wants to own its own
property and not lease. He stated that Fannie May is committed to move from their site by June
1999 and would prefer to have some type of Northwest Highway frontage.
Manager Janonis stated he is working on some type of land comparisons for Northwest Electric to
consider for relocation depending on the square footage needs.
Manager Janonis provided an update regarding obtaining the McLean property and the overall cost
per square foot. He stated there still needs to be some discussion regarding the disposition of the
tenants.
Manager Janonis stated he is awaiting the counter from Norb Huecker's attorney and an appraisal
is underway.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:33 p.m.
