MINUTES
EXECUTIVE SESSION
JANUARY 22, 1991
The Executive Session was called to order at 6:50 p.m., in the second floor Conference
Room of the Senior Citizens Center, 50 South Emerson Street, for the purpose of
discussing potential litigation. Present at the Executive Session were: Mayor Gerald
Farley; Trustees Ralph Arthur, Mark Busse, Leo Floros and Don Weibel, along with
Richard Cosby, Environmental Attorney for the Village and Village Manager John Dixon.
Trustee George Van Geem entered at 7:10 p.m. and Trustee Timothy Corcoran entered
at 7:35 p.m.
The first item of discussion of the Executive Session was the potential Litigation
concerning the Hemphill Project wherein Mr. Hemphill has indicated he feels he is due
monies for unsuitable soils on the site and he has not received compensation. Mr. Cosby
gave a history of the site, and explained unsuitable soils versus contaminated soils. The
Board authorized an offer for settlement.
The second item of discussion was the Snuggery Violation as well as Disconnection Suit.
The Board authorized a response to the latest attempt for resolution of this matter by
the Snuggery.
The Executive Session was adjourned at 7:40 p.m.
