Present were: Mayor Farley; Trustees George Clowes, Timothy Corcoran, Richard Hendricks, Paul Hoefert, Michaele Skowron, Irvana Wilks. Also presented were: Village Manager Michael Janonis and Assistant to the Village Manager David Strahl. PROPERTY ACQUISITION Village Michael Janonis reviewed with Board members a proposed settlement agreement with the five property owners who owned property to the center line of Linneman Road. In order to proceed with the proposed reconstruction of the roadway, it was necessary for the Village to acquire appropriate right-of-way from these five property owners. The five property owners had agreed to the Village's initial offer based on a certified appraisal. The property owners also asked for compensation at $2.00 a square foot for that portion of their property which was currently covered by existing pavement. While the Village had taken a position in the appraisal that this property did not have value, the Village Board felt that it was reasonable to provide a minimum amount of compensation for this portion of the taking. The Village Board also agreed to provide water and sewer taps to the property owner at 1020 Linneman Road in lieu of payment for paved surface. The Board also agreed to provide reasonable assurances that landscaping in the reconstruction area would be guaranteed from damage for a reasonable period of time after the reconstruction period. It was the consensus of the Village Board to accept the proposed settlements. The Board left the Executive Session at 10:02 P.M. to reconvene the regular meeting. Village MEJ/caf
