MINUTES
EXECUTIVE SESSION
APRIL 21, 1993
The Ex~cutive Session was called to order at 11 :04 p.m., in the second floor Conference
Room of the Senior Citizens Center, 50 South Emerson Street, for the purpose of
discussing Personnel and reviewing Executive Session Minutes. Present at the Executive
Session were: Mayor Gerald Farley; Trustees Mark Busse, George Clowes, Timothy
Corcoran, Leo Floros and Paul Hoefert and Irvana Wilks. Also present was Village
Manager Michael Janonis.
Personnel
The Village Manager updated the Board members on various Personnel issues including
the filling of the Water Superintendent's position and the Assistant to the Village Manager.
Village Board members then undertook the final discussion regarding the Village
Manager's six month probationary review and salary adjustment. The Village Manager
was excused from the room during these discussions. Upon return, the Village Manager
was told that his performance had overall been very satisfactory and had exceeded the
Board's expectations. Based upon the level of performance the Village Board had
reached consensus that the Manager's annual salary should be adjusted by $8,000. This
would bring his annual compensation to $76,000.
The Village Board also indicated they would like to continue performance review on a six-
month basis with future salary adjustments taking place to coincide with the beginning of
the Village's fiscal year.
There was no other business discussed.
Tne Executive Session was adjourned after 8 Motion by Trustee CIOW05 and Se-::ondcd
by Trustee Hoefert at 11 :59 p.m.
