MINUTES
EXECUTIVE SESSION
OCTOBER 13, 1992
The Executive Session was called to order at 10:16 p.m., in the second floor Conference
Room of the Senior Citizens Center, 50 South Emerson Street, for the purpose of
discussing Personnel. Present at the Executive Session were: Mayor Gerald Farley;
Trustees Mark Busse, George Clowes, Timothy Corcoran, Leo Floros, Paul Hoefert and
Irvana Wilks. Also present was Village Manager Michael J anonis.
The Village Manager reviewed with the Mayor and Board of Trustees the status of
ongoing negotiations with the Patrol Officers' Union. The Village Manager indicated that
the parties had exchanged proposals and that the next bargaining session was scheduled
for October 29 in the evening. A joint request for a mediator had been submitted to
the State Labor Relations Board. The mediator will be present at the October 29
session in an effort to facilitate discussion.
The Manager discussed with elected officials basic negotiating strategies regarding wages,
benefits and other conditions of employment. The Manager indicated that he would
keep the elected officials apprised of the status of negotiations.
The Executive Session was adjourned at 11:57 p.m. after a Motion by Trustee Floros and
Seconded by Trustee Busse.
