MINUTES
EXECUTIVE SESSION
NOVEMBER 17, 1992
The Executive Session was called to order at 11:37 p.m., in the second floor Conference
Room of the Senior Citizens Center, 50 South Emerson Street, for the purpose of
discussing Personnel. Present at the Executive Session were: Mayor Gerald Farley;
Trustees Mark Busse, George Clowes, Timothy Corcoran, Paul Hoefert and Irvana Wilks.
Absent from the Executive Session was Trustee Leo Floros. Also present was Village
Manager Michael J anonis.
Personnel
The Village Manager discussed with the Mayor and Board of Trustees the status of
ongoing Police negotiations. He indicated that at the negotiating session of November 16
the mediator was also present and that the bulk of language issues had been resolved.
Discussion regarding economic issues had not yet begun in earnest. The Village Manager
also informed elected officials that the Union indicated they would file for arbitration
after the IS-day Statutory waiting period.
Village Manager indicated that the Union's decision to file for arbitration could be
viewed as a strategic move and did not indicate that the negotiations were not
progressing reasonably well. Village Manager also indicated that the next negotiating
session was scheduled for December 3 and that he would keep elected officials apprised
of the status.
The Executive Session was adjourned at 11:52 p.m. after a Motion by Trustee Clowes
and Seconded by Trustee Busse.
