Present at the Executive Session were: Mayor Gerald Farley; Trustees Mark Busse, George Clowes, Paul Hoefert and Irvana Wilks. Absent from the Executive Session were Trustees Timothy Corcoran and Leo Floros. Also present were Village Manager Michael Janonis and Finance Director David Jepson. Litigation The Village Manager discussed the potential for a challenge being brought by other taxing bodies to the proposed Amendment #2 to the Tax Increment Finance District. Mr. Janonis stated that the Village had met all Statutory notice and publication requirements and that the Joint Review Board had met and was in the process of rendering its non-binding findings with regard to the eligibility of the Amendment. The Village Board Directed the Village Manager to proceed with the Public Hearing and prepare necessary Ordinances for the extension of the District. Property Acquisition Trustee Hoefert asked that the Village Board consider the feasibility of acquiring some of the property along the east side of Wille Street under the control of Northwest Electric. Trustee Hoefert expressed an opinion that the Village should have as much control as possible over the property that would be immediately adjacent to the revised Broadacre proposal for development on the Pine-Wille block. There was general discussion regarding the value of such property to the Village and staff was directed to prepare preliminary estimates regarding the value of the property under discussion. The Executive Session was adjourned at 11:42 p.m. after a Motion by Trustee Hoefert and Seconded by Trustee Busse. MEJ / rcc
