MINUTES
EXECUTIVE SESSION
DECEMBER 1, 1992
The Executive Session was called to order at 11:34 p.m., in the second floor Conference
Room of the Senior Citizens Center, 50 South Emerson Street, for the purpose of
discussing Litigation. Present at the Executive Session were: Mayor Gerald Farley;
Trustees Mark Busse, George Clowes, Timothy Corcoran, Leo Floros, Paul Hoefert and
Irvana Wilks. Also present was Village Manager Michael J anorus.
Litigation
Village Manager and elected officials briefly discussed the potential for a challenge to
the Amendment #2 of the Downtown # 1 Tax Increment Redevelopment Plan. It was
felt that the Village was on firm ground with regard to notice and eligibility. Staff was
directed to proceed with the preparation of Ordinances for first reading at the
December 15 Village Board meeting.
Village Board also discussed the desirability of acquiring certain properties on the east
side of Wille Street as they would be immediately adjacent to the proposed Pine/Wille
development. There was discussion regarding the possibility of a land swap with
Northwest Electric whereby the former Mount Prospect Theater site might be exchanged
for the properties controlled by Northwest Electric on Wille Street. Staff was directed
to explore this.
The Executive Session was adjourned after a Motion by Trustee Clowes and Seconded
by Trustee Busse at 12:20 a.m.
