MINUTES
EXECUTIVE SESSION
DECEMBER 22, 1992
The Executive Session was called to order at 8:28 p.m., in the second floor Conference
Room of the Senior Citizens Center, 50 Sou~h Emerson Street, for the purpose of
discussing Property Acquisition. Present at the Executive Session were: Mayor Gerald
Farley; Trustees Timothy Corcoran, Leo Floros, Paul Hoefert and Irvana Wilks. Absent
from the Executive Session were Trustees Mark Busse and George Clowes. Also present
was Village Manager Michael J anonis.
Property Acquisition
Village Manager relayed information to the Mayor and Board of Trustees regarding a
conversation between Village staff and the owners of Terrace Supply property on Central
Road and Wille Street indicating some desire on the part of the owner to get
clarification of his property's status with regard to the Pine/Wille Redevelopment
proposal. The owner is looking at the possibility of making substantial life-safety
improvements to the property and expressed concern that the investment would be ill-
advised if the Board intended to purchase the property at some future date.
The Board entered into a brief discussion regarding the desirability of purchasing the
property in question. At this time, the Board did not consider acquisition of this parcel
to be critical to the success of the Downtown Redevelopment Project, however, staff was
directed to make inquiry to Broadacre Development Corporation regarding their view on
this matter.
Executive Session was adjourned after a Motion by Trustee Corcoran and Seconded by
Trustee Wilks at 8:53 p.m.
